Put another log on the fire!

Taking four kids tent camping is a treat. Nothing like the danger of a roaring fire to keep a parent on edge as the boys roasted marshmellows with glowing hot sticks. No one got hurt on this adventure.

Baseball Boy Brady!

Foul Ball

Luke holds ice on his leg and the ball he was whacked with after a foul ball knocked him down while running down the fence along the right field line during Tyler's State Tournament All Star game tonight. Luke was down, but not out for long. A piece of gum brought him back to reality.
And, Tyler's team won 7-0.

Only in Kentucky

Took the boys to the fun center by our hotel where they played video games, hit in the batting cages, raced cars, and played another round of putt putt.
Brady, of course, found the one odd game in the place, "milk the cow."

That's Racin'

Tyler and Alex come out of the turn during our outing to the fun park across from our hotel in Florence.

Kings Island Fun

Four boys and an amusement park. What a great way to spend a beautiful day. Even better is the fact it was the place I used to go as a kid and waste away summer days.
Getting the chance to introduce them to an amusement park like Kings Island, and one I grew up on, was even better.
The Racer, Beast, etc., all brought back memories, but many more new ones were born today watching Tyler and Alex experience those same rides.
Below are a few examples.

Air Alex!

Alex gets airborne a ride that involves a trampoline and ropes. He bounced high in the air, but the lady running it wouldn't let him do a flip. All four boys rode it and had fun, but Alex out jumped them all.

Up, Up, and Away

After standing in line for an hour, Luke, left, and Brady finally got to get on the helicopter ride at Kings Island. Brady kept wanting to crash into the one in front of us and Luke was just happy not to be standing anymore.

Enough sugar will make you dance

And Luke lives up to that saying after polishing off a bunch of junk during our trip to Kings Island. The boy just couldn't help it, he had to dance.

You da the man!!!

Brady does his best Tiger Woods reaction after sinking a putt during our putt putt excursion.

A splashing good time

Left Frankfort today for Northern Kentucky where we are hanging out for the next couple of days. We found a place with a pool and a t.v., what else is there?!
Spent the afternoon at the pool, then it was off to putt putt with Granny where things got interesting.
Brady sank a hole-in-one on the first hole, then hit three more during the round. The kid has a mean short game.
Tyler and Alex got a bit competitive at times, as boys sometimes do, but Dad stepped in and encouraged them to "play nice."
When we got back to the hotel, Luke rounded out the evening by stopping up the toilet.
While it might sound crazy, I wouldn't change a thing. It was priceless!

Above, Alex, Tyler, and Brady go after the football while playing in the pool.

Stair Steps

After a full day of baseball, it was off to a cook out with Buddy Bennett and his boys at their house.
Wow, seven boys, and I mean "boys" going full tilt in the backyard.
Nothing broken or bleeding the whole night so it a was hit.

They all stood still for a brief moment, amazing.

From left, Luke Carr, Evan Bennett, Brady Carr, Clayton Bennett, Alex Carr, Bradley Bennett, and Tyler Carr.

What a bunch of good kids.

All Star time

Finally got to watch Tyler play baseball in Kentucky during the All Star District Tournament Saturday. His team, the Frankfort Red All Stars, played Scott County in the championship game. It was a good game, with Scott County winning 3-2 in extra innings. Tyler went 1 for 3 with an RBI on a well hit fly ball to left field. Good to see him play again.

Above, Tyler, center, stands with teammates Seth Roush, left, and Q' Brownlee, right, during player introductions.

They play again Wednesday in the Regional tournament.
